Our fourth and fifth graders are making that all-important transition to their teenage years as well as future involvement in youth activities. In creating a program specifically for them, we hope to partner with parents in guiding these students in their spiritual and personal growth in Christ. Special events are held every other month for this group. Please check the Kid's Announcements page to stay up to date on this exciting ministry!
June 4th - 8th
"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands." 2Timothy 1:6 (NIV)
Our focus this year is on what is means to have spirit-filled living. The Bible is clear that our spiritual lives must be cultivated, as we "walk by the Spirit" (Gal. 5:16). While apart from Christ we can do nothing (John 15:5), God expects us to feed the fire inside of us that is His Spirit, so we can in turn serve Him in all things.
As always, our ultimate goal is to challenge and lead all students who attend into a deeper relationship with Christ using tools that center completely on Jesus and Spripture. For some, they will be meeting the Holy Spirit for the first time; for others He will grow them in their love and dedication for Christ. We are incredibly excited to be a part of God's work in your child's life during this year's week of Summer Camp!

At Maywood, Kid's Ministry is about Family Ministry! Knowing that 80% of Christians come to know Christ as Savior by the age of 13, it is our desire at Maywood to plant the seed of Christ into the tender hearts of children. The various programs and activities are designed to share the Gospel of Christ, to disciple and encourage children to become involved in service, and to begin to reach their peers for Jesus Christ. Kid's Ministries also seeks to aid parents and families in fulfilling their responsibility as God's primary resource for reaching and discipling children.
